What to know

The Domain is a massive 234-acre master-planned development located at 11410 Century Oaks Terrace in North Austin. What is today a bustling mixed-use hub was once the site of the nation's largest cash register manufacturing facility. The transformation began after Endeavor acquired the land from IBM in 1999, with development starting around 2003. The first phase officially opened to the public on March 9, 2007, as reported by KVUE. Today, the outdoor space is a premier retail destination. It features a mix of high-end luxury retailers like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Dior, alongside celebrated local brands such as Yeti and Nina Berenato jewelry. Beyond shopping, visitors can catch a movie at the IPic theater or enjoy a laugh at the Cap City Comedy Club, which is situated directly across from the Dior store. The Domain has also established itself as a culinary and social center. It is home to numerous Asian restaurants and a vibrant outdoor space that hosts a variety of activities. Depending on when you visit, you might encounter lively festivals, seasonal events, live music, fitness classes, a bustling farmer's market, or local food trucks, alongside dedicated areas for kids' play. Over the years, the development has expanded significantly. Designed to eventually contain up to 10 million square feet of mixed-use space, it currently features about 1.8 million square feet of retail space. It has also grown into a major residential and employment hub, boasting more than 5,000 multifamily residential units and approximately 3.5 million square feet of office space.
