Southern food is a language of its own, and the Southern Food and Beverage Museum, or SoFAB, is where that language is translated. Located in the historic Dryades Market building, this nonprofit explores the deep roots of Southern culinary culture. Founded in 2004, it's not just a museum; it houses a cooking school and the Museum of the American Cocktail.
From local products to the history of the drink, SoFAB documents how food and beverage act as a mirror for the South's diverse folklife. It's a celebration of the flavors that have defined the region, reminding us that the most enduring part of any culture is often what we put on the table.
