Every Sunday, Columbus Avenue transforms into the largest curated shopping market in New York City. The Grand Bazaar NYC didn't start as a grand event; it began around 1979 as the GreenFlea Market, launched by parents as a simple yard sale to raise funds for schools. Today, it features over 100 curated vendors, from food entrepreneurs to artisans, across both indoor and outdoor spaces.
But the real magic is in the mission: the market donates 100 percent of its profits to four local public schools, benefiting over 2,000 children. It's a place where a Sunday stroll and a bit of shopping turn into a direct investment in the city's next generation.
