The club's history began in 1931 as the 365 Club, originally situated on the third floor of a building at 365 Market Street near Fremont Street. In 1951, the club transitioned to its current location, taking over the former Bal Tabarin building. This striking structure is an Art Deco masterpiece designed by the renowned architect Timothy Pflueger. Because of its enduring cultural impact, San Francisco Heritage recognized the venue in 2014 as one of its 100 Legacy Bars and Restaurants. Historically, a night at the club was a choreographed experience of luxury and variety.
