In 2007, the facility underwent a major renovation and was renamed the Koret Children's Quarter with support from the Koret Foundation. The playground is designed for active exploration, featuring a large climbing structure, concrete slides, and a rope pyramid. This flagship playground remains open daily from 5 a.m. to midnight, providing a free space for public recreation. Adjacent to the playground and the Sharon Building is a vintage carousel, originally built in 1914 and brought to San Francisco in 1940.
