Artists at Play is an imaginative, artist-created playground located in the central plaza of Seattle Center, situated between the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) and the Seattle Center Armory, just north of the Monorail station. Opened to the public on June 6, 2015, as part of a broader redevelopment plan, the space is designed as an inclusive, interactive public environment for all visitors. Unlike standard playgrounds, this space utilizes an art-driven design approach to encourage active play. The centerpieces of the activity area include a 30-foot climbing tower, recommended for children ages 5 to 12, and an inviting labyrinth with a rebus at its center. Visitors can also experience a human-powered, ADA-accessible carousel, which requires physical effort to keep moving. Beyond the climbing structures, the playground incorporates sensory experiences. It features child-inspired musical instruments, listening stations, sound swings, and play mounds. The area is further enhanced by 'story lines' that guide visitors through the space, and the entire experience is free of charge for all ages.

• Allow at least 45 minutes for children to explore the climbing tower and the labyrinth.
