The company's foundations were laid in 1982 when TheatreSports first debuted in the city. After becoming an official nonprofit theater in 1983 and spending time at the Intiman Playhouse, the troupe eventually found its permanent home at the Market Theater in May 1991. The company produces ten shows per week, including the Duo Comedy Showcase on Wednesdays and the long-running Theatresports, which is recognized as the longest-running show in Seattle. Today, the wall spans 54 feet wide and 8 feet high, containing an estimated 250,000 wads of gum.
