In the heart of the industrial SoDo neighborhood, nestled near the western end of Interstate 90, lies a massive 19.59-acre oasis of real grass. T-Mobile Park, the home of the Seattle Mariners, first opened its gates on July 15, 1999. The first game was a bit of a heartbreak for local fans, ending in a 3 to 2 loss to the San Diego Padres.

Despite that start, the ballpark has become a city icon, famous for its retractable roof that keeps the rain at bay. With a seating capacity of over 47,000, it transforms the surrounding industrial landscape into a sea of cheering fans. As you walk through SoDo, just look for the towering roof of the park where baseball lives in the city.
