Some of the deepest bonds are those that transcend time. At Lake View Cemetery on Capitol Hill, there is a site visited by thousands every year—the graves of Bruce and Brandon Lee. Bruce Lee, the legendary martial artist, was laid to rest here in 1973, and he is interred together with his son, Brandon.

Every year, the site becomes a focal point for love and remembrance; in 2013, flowers were piled as high as the headstones to mark Bruce's birthday. Following the stone-paved path up the hill, you can feel the global affection for a father and son whose bond remains unbroken, reminding us that the most powerful love is the kind that leaves a permanent mark on the world.
