Imagine a building so stubborn it refused to vanish, even after sitting boarded up and vacant for more than thirty years. This is the story of The Old Church. Built in 1894 as the Second Presbyterian Church at 13th Street and Jefferson Avenue, it stood as a house of worship for nearly a century, making it one of Waco's oldest churches.

But time took its toll, and for decades, it sat silent. That is, until it was lifted and moved to its current home. As part of the Silos expansion, the building was meticulously restored and reopened in 2020.

Today, it doesn't serve a congregation in the traditional sense, but it functions as a historical anchor to the Silos grounds, reminding every visitor that while the city grows and changes, some pieces of 1894 history are simply too precious to leave behind.
