For decades, the Washington Improv Theater operated as a nomadic company, bringing long-form comedy to various venues across the city. But in 2027, they're attempting something truly innovative for the local arts scene. They are moving into a four million dollar creative campus in NoMa.

This will be the first space in Washington, D.C. dedicated entirely to improvisation and the company's first self-managed venue. By moving from a residency to a permanent home, they're not just building a theater; they're creating a dedicated hub for a spontaneous art form that usually thrives on the fly.

It's a permanent anchor for an art form that, by definition, never stays the same.
