What happens when a president leaves the White House? For Woodrow Wilson, the answer was a home in the Kalorama neighborhood. After leaving office in 1921, Woodrow and Edith Wilson moved into the house at 2340 S Street.

Located near numerous embassies and ambassadorial residences, the home served as a private sanctuary for the former leader. Today, the house is preserved as a time capsule from 1924, offering a glimpse into the personal life of a man who led the country through the First World War. It's a quiet contrast to the public noise of the presidency, tucked away in one of D.C.'s most diplomatic corners.
