You can permanently delete your Gyde account and the personal data associated with it at any time. There are two ways to do this.

In-App deletion is immediate. When the App confirms success, the backend has removed the account data described below and you are signed out. If deletion fails, the App keeps you signed in and shows an error so you can retry; it does not present a failed request as completed.

Option 1: Delete in the App

  1. Open the Gyde app and sign in if you are not already signed in.
  2. Open the You tab.
  3. Under Account, tap Delete account.
  4. Read the permanent-deletion warning and tap Delete permanently.

A successful response permanently removes the server-side data listed below and clears the local session. Sign in with Apple accounts also have Gyde's Apple authorization revoked as part of the same process.

Option 2: Email request

If you cannot sign in - for example, you no longer have access to the device or to your Sign in with Apple identity - email drewb97@gmail.com from the address associated with your account. Use the subject line "Delete my Gyde account" and include any details that may help us verify your identity (for example, the approximate date you created the account or the display name shown on it).

We may follow up with verification questions before completing an email request. Once verified, we will process it within 30 days.

Revoking Sign in with Apple

In-App deletion automatically sends Apple's token-revocation request before Gyde removes your account. If Apple revocation cannot be completed, no account data is deleted and the App tells you to retry. You can also revoke Gyde's access from Apple's side at any time by going to Settings > Apple ID > Sign In with Apple on your iOS device, selecting Gyde, and choosing Stop Using Apple ID. Revoking access on Apple's side does not by itself delete your data from our service - please also use one of the two options above.
