You can request deletion of your Gyde account and the personal data associated with it at any time. There are two ways to do this.

Service-level agreement. We process account deletion requests within 30 days of receipt, except where we are required to retain certain records to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements. You will receive an email confirmation when your request has been completed.

Option 1: Delete in the App

  1. Open the Gyde app and sign in if you are not already signed in.
  2. Tap the account icon in the top right of the map screen.
  3. In the panel that appears, tap Delete.
  4. Confirm in the dialog that you want to proceed. This signs you out on every device and submits a deletion request to our backend.

You will be signed out immediately. Removal of your account record and associated personal data on the server completes within the SLA above.

Option 2: Email request

If you cannot sign in - for example, you no longer have access to the device or to your Sign in with Apple identity - email drewb97@gmail.com from the address associated with your account. Use the subject line "Delete my Gyde account" and include any details that may help us verify your identity (for example, the approximate date you created the account or the display name shown on it).

We may follow up with verification questions before completing the deletion. Once verified, we will process the request within 30 days.

Revoking Sign in with Apple

Deleting your Gyde account ends our use of the Sign in with Apple identifier we received from Apple. You can also revoke Gyde's access from Apple's side at any time by going to Settings > Apple ID > Sign In with Apple on your iOS device, selecting Gyde, and choosing Stop Using Apple ID. Revoking access on Apple's side does not by itself delete your data from our service - please also use one of the two options above.
